About the Partnership

A common challenge for HR professionals is the sheer amount of communications, news and information they need to get to the workforce. Email campaigns start to get pushback due to the frequency and diversity of news and campaigns. In this case, Barilla wanted to combine employee engagement and wellbeing with providing awareness of important company information to unite colleagues working in different factories.

The Stayf app supported them with the opportunity for HR’s re-branding campaign.  With this wellbeing initiative, they could bring teams together whilst informing people about changes in their production facilities, factories and workforce. In this way, change communications aligned with wellbeing goals.

The Challenge

  • Barilla successfully united its factory, office, and remote employees through a virtual journey that boosted wellbeing and understanding between colleagues.
  • Diverse Workforce: Bringing together employees from factories, offices, and remote teams.
  • Boosting Engagement: Encouraging wellbeing while fostering a sense of connection.
  • Operational Insight: Providing employees with a deeper understanding of Barilla’s production facilities.

The Solution

  • Virtual Journey: A virtual 8,600-kilometre "Factory Run" across Barilla’s plants in Italy, France, and Sweden.
  • Weekly Challenges: Personal challenges were introduced weekly to maintain engagement and excitement.
  • Creative Competitions: Six creative contests added a fun, competitive edge.
  • Global Connection: The Stayf app’s dashboard allowed HR to monitor overall progress with transparency and understanding.
