About the Partnership

Danone were looking for ways to connect teams working across different factories, to enhance communications. We created a virtual journey so that employees could make ‘virtual visits’ to other factories. Content about the factories and employee stories brought the experience to life.

Stayf’s ability to name and design the look of the UI (user interface) meant that this wellbeing challenge was held in our consumer-grade app, taking away HR’s difficulty with already having too many platforms, URLs and online folders. As the project felt like a natural part of the employee-brand experience, engagement managers found it easier to get people on board and achieve leadership buy-in.

The Challenge

  • Danone faced a unique challenge with its logistics team spread across 24 remote centres. The key issues were:
  • Geographical Disconnection: Employees, working towards common goals, had rarely met face-to-face, leading to a lack of unity and engagement.
  • Need for Engagement: Danone sought to enhance employee loyalty, foster a shared purpose, and promote a healthier lifestyle across this diverse, distributed team.

The Solution

  • "Flight to the Moon" Challenge: Implemented using the Stayf app, this initiative encouraged physical activity through logged results, either manually or via Google Fit and Apple Health syncing.
  • Collective Objective: Participants aimed to collectively accumulate 384,467 charges, symbolising a virtual delivery of Danone products to the moon.
  • Engagement Boost: Weekly personal challenges and real-time tracking kept motivation high, while the app offered health and wellness information and a chat function for team interaction.

The Results

Danone’s "Flight to the Moon" challenge effectively united a globally dispersed team, transforming them into a connected, health-conscious workforce, all while fostering a strong sense of shared purpose and engagement.
  • Active Participation: The challenge attracted 287 participants, with 78% actively engaged throughout.
  • Popular Activities: Walking and exercising emerged as the most favoured activities.
  • Positive Outcomes: The initiative successfully met its goals, generating enthusiastic feedback and interest in future wellness programs.
